Coach Eva Diva is a badass NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness YouTuber, and former triathlete. While playing college rugby, an Australian Rugby recruiter seeked her out to play abroad, but her dad wanted her to focus on her academics. “I’d probably have a few more broken bones if he didn’t, and I would have never had the opportunity to teach weight training to friends in Italy, Guatemala, Los Angeles, San Diego, and online.”

Being an athlete has had its drawbacks. In 2016, she was severely hospitalized with an extremely rare bacteria that only affects .8 out of one million young athletes. She went from the emergency room to the ICU after she stopped breathing. An inflamed clot in her jugular vein caused her left lung to become gelatinous and collapse. After a week of being hooked on a medical ventilator to breath, doctors found she had Lemierre’s Syndrome. She quickly lost about 23 lbs. in three weeks, and got lung surgery. She thanks fitness for her healthy foundation and strong mindset. "Fitness saved my life. Without it, I may have wasted away.” Getting out of the hospital, she overcame the “darkest time of my life,” and gave herself shots, practiced lung expansion exercises, and re-trained herself how to walk. Little by little, her strength increased.

Whether you’re interested in losing weight, toning up, or becoming more intuitive with healthy meal prepping habits, training with Eva, won’t find any sympathy. “The body and mind are so much stronger than we give them credit for. You can do more than you think you can, and the only thing standing in your way of your fitness goals is YOU. I’m here to help show you the way, but it takes a combination of a strong mind, dedication, and belief that you can!” A nerd at heart, you can typically find Eva motivating her clients, recording YouTube videos, salsa dancing anywhere there’s a sidewalk, and eating sweet taters while reading the latest fitness research about glute (booty) building.
